The 2000 Pennant Run Expansion Set was released in July and took into account many of the trades
and rookies not reflected in the Base Set. Like the Base Set, the Pennant Run Expansion was released
in 1st and Unlimited Editions. The Pennant Run Expansion was packaged in booster packs.
Spring Training Promo Cards (34)
The Spring Training Promo cards were distributed regionally to card stores. The cards were given out for in store promotions and league play. Several of the Spring Training Promos had very limited release and are very rare.
Home Run Hitter Promo Cards (14)
The Home Run Hitter cards were released throughout the MLB season with 14 cards in all making up the set.
Home Run Hitter cards were given for participation in MLB Showdown League play. These cards feature many of the
best power hitters in the game. Similar to other promo cards, the statistics on these card are identical to the
regular cards found in booster packs and draft packs.
Pennant Run Promo Cards (8)
The Pennant Run Promo cards were found in an issue of Top Deck Magazine.
One of eight Pennant Run Promo cards were randomly inserted in each Top Deck magazine. Therefore, it would take a least eight magazines to make a complete set of cards.
